Certain 2022-2023 Tucson Hybrid (NX4 P/HEV) and 2022-2023 Santa Fe Hybrid (TM P/HEV vehicles may experience a malfunction indicator light (MIL) illumination accompanied by DTC P2601 – Coolant Pump Control Circuit Range/Performance, due to a malfunction of the Auxiliary Electronic Water Pump (AEWP). Vehicles with malfunctioning AEWP will operate in EV mode and continuously consume energy of the high voltage battery due to engine starting failure. This bulletin provides instructions to inspect the AEWP and engine control wiring harness and replace if necessary.
